Tuesday 11th February 2014- The Guardian: Threat to mental health programme that aims to get patients back to work

While 70% of working age adults with a mental health condition in England are unemployed,  the South London and the Maudsley NHS foundation trust (SLAM), which provides tailored careers advice and coaching to patients, is threatened by budget cuts, while unemployment values continue to increase. The trust not only aims to get patients back into employment but also claims to assess their case individually and provide them with a variety of support ranging from long-term one-to-one support to help with CVs and interviews.
